How You Can Help

Kensington Cares has a unique giving model that offers global citizens a more personal and direct opportunity to 'leave a footprint'. Kensington Cares leverages the on-the-ground infrastructure of Kensington Tours, our sister organization, to more efficiently connect kids in need with people who want to make a difference. Staff, administration, monitoring and evaluation costs are covered by Kensington Tours, ensuring that your donation to Kensington Cares goes directly to the children and schools you want to help. Donors and their families can personally access timely updates and progress reports and photos online and have the option to visit the children and school they support.

There are 3 ways you can make a difference:

$50-200 - Supplies
Give a care package that includes a school uniform, textbooks, and school supplies to a child in need (with opportunity to meet your child in person on your Graduate Tours safari) ..more details

$550/year or $45/month - Scholarships
Sponsor a scholarship for one child (or more). Scholarship funding ensures that the sponsored child is able to attend school, that fees and other school-related costs (e.g. uniforms, school supplies) are covered and also provides support to the school to support priority items that benefit the school including text books, teaching resources, a nutritious meal, a new classroom, or part of a teacher’s salary ..more details

$5,000+ – Schools
Build a rural school with desks and furnishings, plus an endowment to pay teachers salaries for 10 years. Build the school in cooperation with the local village who must put up the land and a portion of the labor, to ensure they feel strong ownership of the school (with opportunity to pick your build site on your Graduate Tours safari) ..more details
